Dominant emotion: sadness

Today's news is dominated by cascading disasters: glacier collapse triggering devastating floods killing hundreds, wildfires sweeping through Algeria, a hospital fire killing babies, violence erupting across multiple continents. While there are bright spots (cancer treatment breakthrough, Dolly Parton's legacy), the weight of the day is environmental collapse and human suffering accelerating. The glacier collapse felt like the most vivid visual metaphor—a literal breaking point of the natural world, triggering a chain reaction of destruction.
