Dominant emotion: fear

Today's news is dominated by systemic breakdown: France fractured by riots despite calls for order, Canada facing military tragedy, Russia destabilized from within, assassination attempts in Mumbai, starvation cults in Kenya, bomb threats grounding flights. The recurring theme is a society or system splitting apart—authority figures appealing for unity while the ground beneath them splinters. Macron's call for 'calm and order' becomes the tragic center: the desire for coherence colliding with irreversible fracture. The image captures that collision without resolving it.
